The Afcon soccer tournament affords some of us who are genuinely interested in business affairs of this continent a chance to do a background check of the participating afrikan states. Checking the history,economics,business the arts,politics etc. A lot of the findings are disturbing. One such finding is the fact that the president of the host country has been the president from 1979,more than mugabe,believe it or not! Monopolizing the economy of that country together with his family. When you do come across these you are forced to realize that this afrikan dream is not within reach. More like a mirage,you see it from a distance,upon arrival it seems to have changed locations but you keep chasing after it.
