The Affordable Care Act was passed without one single amendment and the Republicans offered many. But, then - the majority party, the Democrats under Nancy Pelosi, refused to considered or even allow a vote on any amendments. The point is this: Even the Democrats who voted for it and the President who proposed it now admit that it is less than perfect and needs some changes. The way out of this is for the President to offer to hear Republican objections to ACA - and they must be specific, not toss-the-baby-out-with-the-bath-water repeal criticisms. The House GBOP could then, in turn, air their objections, offer changes to ACA, and we can all go on with our lives - and so can they - except, of course, the morons like Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and Rand Paul who refuse to even consider a compromise...too bad...I kinda need my SS Survivor Benefits check next month.
