Also I had no idea...Israel occupied East Jerusalem in 67 (knew that) But declared it part of their Jerusalem in 1980 (did not know that) and Palestine only wants East Jerusalem back as part of the two state solution? (Did not know that). We never ever hear those last two points...always Israel positions Palestine as wanting all of Jerusalem. ..which freaks out many Jews.Honestly I have spent time in East Jerusalem with zero knowledge that the area was appropriated in 1980 or that it is wanted as PART of a two state solution rather than all of Jerusalem being claimed. It is listed in travel guidebooks to Israel! Best hummus spots in....in other words there is nothing in any narrative reminding anyone that there is a fully realized shadow state here...or that anything Palestinians might want might be reasonable. So ministers of Israel storming the mosque are entering a foreign country and storming a sacred site in the capital of that foreign country.
