The Alabama Rally for Secular Government is gaining momentum and support. Were actively looking for co-sponsors and/or supporting groups to broaden our coalition as much as possible. Womens Rights are constantly under attack by religious based legislation. Our childrens education has been dangerously compromised by religious attempts to dictate curriculum, including efforts to teach creationism in science classes. Mainstream religious denominations are threatened by political backlash from these fundamentalist efforts to dictate civil law. Civil rights groups know all too well, the effects of conscience laws that make discrimination legal. Members of the LGBT community also know how government sponsored discrimination demeans their very existence. We are reaching out to leaders in these areas to join us. We need strong religious support, strong civil rights leaders, powerful womens voices to broaden our message. We need teachers groups and educational leaders on the podium on May 3rd. We need progressive political leaders and political support groups onboard. We need to join hands, combine voices, and send a unified message on May 3rd. Please sign up. Please help us gather forces.
