The Alaska Center for Climate Assessment and Policy (ACCAP) is now accepting proposals for one month of faculty summer salary or summer graduate student support to conduct research and engage with stakeholder groups on climate change adaptation. With a mission to improve the ability of Alaskans to adapt to a changing climate, ACCAP is one of the Regional Integrated Science and Assessment (RISA) programs funded by the NOAA Climate Program Office (accap.uaf.edu). This funding is intended to support pilot or exploration stage research in partnership with stakeholders. Proposals that supplement on-going research in order to initiate new stakeholder partnerships or enhance or build on existing stakeholder partnerships will also be considered. The competition is open to all University of Alaska faculty (UAF, UAA, UAS, Rural Campuses, etc.). Proposals are welcome from any discipline. Interdisciplinary projects are especially encouraged. Funds must be spent by Aug 21, 2015 and a final report submitted no later than Sept. 4, 2015. We anticipate funding a total of three to five awards. Please see the attached announcement for further information and proposal guidelines. Submit via email to: Tina Buxbaum [email protected] no later than 5pm, February 5, 2015.
