The Alshabab attempted to gain access to quote, Critical Infrastructure What is the definition of Critical infrastructure? This includes command and control systems, communication interception systems that are critical in intelligence gathering etc. What was attacked was the Headquarter garrison of AMISOM. I find the explanation on how it was done not convincing. This appears to have been a special operation aimed at a critical target. Was that target picked and destroyed? How would that impact the security of other garrisons? We have so far known of a UPDF Lt Col Dead and several others. It certainly must have been an intense fight. Let me say this. The Americans are talking to the Talibans. In Pakistan some captured Taliban commanders were released to facilitate a conversation. We need to explore an exit strategy. A purely military solution is not tenable in the long-run. Uganda must eventually pull out of Somalia. The Somali radicals and moderates must find a formula to talk and sort out their mess. Another drop of Ugandas soldiers shed in Somalia will be too much to bear. I hate to see it. This is a senseless war not worthy of any serious blood. I appreciate that many will attack me on grounds of lack of patriotism. This must be for a just cause. Would you want to fight me because radical catholicism is against arbortion and polygamy? Catholicism and polygamous president Zuma co-exist in South Africa.. But if you think we should continue to lose lives there, then my wish shall be that the next life to be lost to Alshabab should be yours. I think Africans can talk to each other and if we should fight, it should be arrogance to fight.
