The Amakhosi football manager Bobby Motaung discusses the clubs position in terms of participating in the Caf Champions League. Theres better news regarding their home PSL venue. With South Africa awarded two positions for this years CafCL, champions Mamelodi Sundowns and second placed Kaizer Chiefs qualify. However Amakhosi are considering pulling out due to a lack of squad depth to handle all competitions, as well as finances. The club is yet to make a final decision on the matter, and is waiting to discuss the issue with coach Stuart Baxter. One question is: With Kaizer Chiefs wanting to build their brand as one of the top clubs in Africa, how can they stake that claim without competing in Caf? Meanwhile Amakhosi will play all their home games at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg this upcoming season.
