The American Center partnered with Kolkata Sanved and St. Xavier’s College to host ‘Dance for Revolution’ featuring activist-playwright Eve Ensler, U.S. Consul General Helen LaFave, musician Tanmoy Bose, survivors, and hundreds of youth leaders. The evening resonated to the loud beating of drums and inspired performances by the students who pledged to strengthen the worldwide fight against gender based violence. Ms. Ensler’s powerful performance of ‘My Body, My Revolution’ urged everyone to walk out, dance, rise up and demand an end to violence against women. Dance indeed is a powerful tool for transformation. Tell us why you dance for revolution!
