The American Indian Community Housing Organization (AICHO) has asked me to help them create a 2015 Calendar featuring my photographs of happy and healthy Ojibwe youth. I have agreed and am in the process of getting consents from the parents of the children in the photographs. This past weekend I went through thousands of photos from the last two years and submitted 50. We met today and settled on a possible 14 which means we may have to make it into a 15 month calendar! They love my photographs and I love the idea. Miigwech AICHO and miigwech to the parents that I have talked with who are giving verbal consent for now - yes, I will be getting written consent soon. This is why I am so happy. Its going to be a beautiful calendar incorporating Ojibwemowin translations throughout.
