The American Revolution was not an uprising of the common people wanting freedom. It was a project of rich, white men (our founding fathers) who didnt want to pay taxes. (Sound familiar?) Our founding fathers envisioned only white men who owned property as citizens. Everyone else has had to fight in the streets here for freedom and citizenship. Rather than being built on liberty it was built by slavery and through the genocide of the people who were already living here when the Europeans invaded. And, actually, if youd thought about what you were taught in school critically, rather than buying some propagandized analysis your teacher and others were spewing, youd already know this. :)
