The American white man called the black man he sold into slavery in America a Negro, not an African. Negro does not mean African, it is the Spanish word for black. All blacks are not Africans. The British white man called the black man that he sold into slavery in the islands of the British West Indies a Jamaican and a West Indian, not an African. The French white man called the black man he sold into slavery in the island of St. Domingue a Haitian, not an African. The island of St. Domingue, which is part of Hispañola, had its name changed to Haiti which means hell. If the slave ancestors of the black people of the Western Hemisphere were so-called Africans, why is it that the white man called us other names other than African when he brought our ancestors here? Our ancestors never at any time called themselves Africans when they were brought here to this part of the world. The white man is the one who has erroneously labeled our people Africans.
