The Amur Leopard and Tiger Alliance (ALTA) ALTA is a coalition of international Non-Government Organisations (NGO) dedicated to running and supporting conservation projects to save the Amur leopard and tiger from extinction. Yorkshire Wildlife Park Foundation (YWPF) supports ALTA and with the money raised we will be able to protect these critically endangered cats and their habitat. By reducing the hunting of the cats for its fur and the poaching of its prey, protecting its habitat from logging and fires and supporting research in to its behaviours and the diseases we can secure the future of the Amur Leopard. Although we have made encouraging progress conservation these big cats, with less than 50 left in the wild they are still critically endangered and need all the help we can give them.
