The Angels appeared to the poor shepherds in this world, who love their sheep and watch over them day and night to keep them from harm. It is these men who hear the Word of God out in the wilderness and solitude in the calm and peace of the night. They have ears to listen and a heart that is open, ready to be moved when the Lord speaks. Those who tend sheep know what it means to call and follow when the Good Shepherd enters into the world. They have prepared and made a place for the Lord already in their heart. It is our Blessed Mother who presents the Son of God to this desolate and dark world. Only those who are humble in spirit and are lovers of poverty can come to the Blessed Mother and her Child. The rest of the world is hidden from the meek and lowly stable. From our Mother Mary, God chose Christ came into the world, and through our Mother Church and the intercession of our Blessed Mother, we are guided towards Salvation. It is Christ Jesus, our Lord and Savior, whom we all seek in His Mothers arms.
