The Anglican Diocese of Harares Mothers Union (MU) today donated materials to the Budiriro Polyclinic as part of their contribution to realise improved maternal health care among Zimbabwes women. MU President Faith Gandiya said women were an integral part of society and deserved all the support they can garner from all people in society, especially the women. They donated one standing type blood pressure machine- aneroid sphygmomanometer; one fetal doppler, five baby hampers (for needy mothers), one doughnut ring mattress and three Netstar Ambulance Service vouchers for needy mothers (one for every month). Mai Gandiya said: We are hoping to make this donation of five baby hampers for three months (end July, August and September 2014). It is our sincere hope that we will be able to motivate other church groups within the Budiriro community to continue with this programme after the three months.
