The Animal Concerns Research and Education Society (ACRES) suggested recently that the authorities should hire guards to stand around in housing estates that have wild monkey problems so that the guards can shoo the monkeys away. They suggested that at least 4 guards be hired per “monkey hotspot” to work in pairs and on shifts in order to chase away the monkeys. Do you think this is a good idea?
