The Animal House is a proud sponsor of the 2015 March of Dimes March for Babies in Portland this year, on May 3rd. This is a family-friendly and dog friendly walk, and we will be there with waste bags and snacks for your four legged friend (leashed, friendly dogs are welcome!). Our family walks in the March for Babies every year in memory of our first son, Garron. The March of Dimes helps to prevent premature births, birth defects and neonatal death through research, advocacy and education, and has an amazing program at Maine Med through their NICU. 100% of the money raised in Maine stays in Maine, and its an organization with which I am proud to be associated. Some of their research includes neonatal testing, heart defects, surfactant therapy (which is made up at Jackson Labs!) and of course, the polio vaccine.
