The Appaloosa Sport Horse Association (ApSHA) is proud to announce - TopicsExpress

The Appaloosa Sport Horse Association (ApSHA) is proud to announce our new affiliation with the American Warmblood Society (AWS). Founded in 1983, the sole purpose of AWS is to recognize and promote the American Warmblood horse from grass roots to the Olympic levels in the disciplines of Dressage, Eventing, Show Jumping and Combined Driving. AWS is a recognized, non-profit corporation supporting sport horses, owners and breeders through performance monitoring and inspections. Please see go to americanwarmblood.org to learn more about AWS. AWS will begin servicing ApSHA registered horses as of July 1st, 2014. Owners of ApSHA registered horses need to follow the instructions on the attached Transfer of Registration to transition their horses. An Appaloosa Sport Horse is by definition a horse of Appaloosa heritage bred to compete in the Olympic disciplines. As a truly American breed, it is fitting for the Appaloosa Sport Horse to be under the umbrella of the American Warmblood Society. With professional AWS staff handling memberships, registrations, and inspections, ApSHA and AWS can continue doing what we do best - recognizing the world’s greatest equine athletes competing in the Olympic disciplines!
