The Appearance of Royalty! Royalty attracts attention anywhere. Even the Tomb of great kings around the world attracts tourist all year round because even in death, their regal status still looms large and elicit curiosity in the heart of those that read or heard about them. You can understand why it is rare for a tourist to come to London and not visit the Buckingham Palace to have a view of it. However, Royalty has an awareness of his status and the attention that it attracts and so makes sure conduct,carriage and character are in tandem with the demands that comes with the regal status. But what Royalty too is always conscious of is that, not all the attention he gets his beneficial to him. Some people are also after the life and seeking the death or downfall of anyone with a royal status. In Judges 8 : 18, Gideon asked the two kings of Midian, Zebah and Zalmunah, before he killed them, the men you slew at Mount Tabor,how do they look like? they answered and said to him,As though art, so were they;each one resemble the children of a king. Wow! In Judges 6: 14-15, when the Angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon,even him was ignorant of his Regal status, just like the men that were slain at Tabor. The same way we dont know why we face the adversaries that we face on our way to the top. My friend, you and i are no ordinary persons that is why we face the battles we are fighting as we press on through the pressures of life. Come to think of it, what will make those wrestlers you watch on TV to be so mean to each other if there is nothing at stake? There is something about our lives that is Unique and that attracts the attention of adversaries. If you have a lover, and no one is contending to have her attention with you, then something is wrong somewhere. Our defeat comes cheaply because we are ignorant of our regal status.1 peter 2:9 aptly describe who we are. We must put up a fight that reflects that we are Royalty and will not give up ourselves to be prey by looking up to Jesus, the author and finisher of the faith we profess and possess. Dont be carried away my friend, i am not a pastor, i remain a Lawyer/Politician. What i am saying here, is also directed at me. It is my prayer, that no matter what kind of battle our Royal status is attracting at present and in future, we shall triumph over all in Jesus Name! I RISE !!!
