The Arc Minnesota 2014 Award recipients include two individuals and an organization that were nominated by the Council: Karen Loven – Bill Sackter Citizenship Award, the first self advocate in the United States to serve as a faculty member for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) courses; Ambassadors for Respect/Merrick, Inc. – Community Innovator Award for their anti-bullying campaign; and Chip Scoggins, Star Tribune – Community Media Excellence Award for a piece he wrote about a senior player on the Hopkins High School basketball team.
