The Art of Deception: The medical community that supposedly holds itself to the highest standards and strut their moral and ethical virtues around like sage grouse. They also have a commanding knowledge on deceptive practices that makes people distrust their motives. Here is a classic example Heard on the radio (yes I do listen to the radio) an official from the CDC speak about the crisis that no one seems to talk about now that we have a new drama of Ebola unfolding. Its the spreading of the Enterovirus D-68 that has struck down over 700 children and has claimed the lives of 5 already. One begins to wonder why we hear so much about Ebola and not about this anymore. I suppose the fact that Ebola now has a vaccine that has been fast tracked and being tested on humans to be released in a few months and the fact that EV D-68 has no vaccine has nothing to do with it? So instead what do they do? they downplay it, saying that almost all children fully recover and that all you can do is to wash hands and avoid crowds. Funny, how we dont use the same logic for the seasonal flu which is no different, but the incessant beating of drums about the doom and gloom scenario and the push for flu shots fill the airwaves as soon as September rolls around. What did catch my attention though, was something he said about EV-D68 causing paralysis in some kids and how it seemed very similar to the Polio virus (note that the polio virus is also of the same type, an enterovirus). Then he goes on to say with emphasis and authority that it could NEVER be Polio since all the children were vaccinated against Polio. Here is where the deception is. That statement is WRONG.. dead WRONG. Why because we all know that vaccinated children can get the disease they have been vaccinated against. This has been proven time and time again in several of the Measles and Mumps outbreaks worldwide and even in pockets of Polio in South East Asia. We also know that vaccines do not impart lifelong protection (I refuse to use the term immunity because vaccination is not immunization) in most cases and wanes over time. Hence the need for repeated boosters. So this is how they lie to the masses and make them believe that if it comes from the mouth of a white coat at the CDC or any other agency that it must be true because they are supposed to know it all and protect us. Makes you wonder what else they lie to us about....
