The Assembly may have a Christian resemblance but is it really Christian? If you take a walk in the woods what do you see? You see pine trees, different type of oak trees, cedar, poplar, hickory, and etcetera. Let’s imagine the hickory tree is the Christian. All the other trees are growing with it but at a distance the hickory is hard to find among the other trees; accept during the Fall. During the Fall of the year, the temperature drops, the sap in the trees drops and the leaves begin to die; as a result the leaves change colors. The leaves of the hickory have a bright and unmatchable golden color making it unmistakable and easily identifiable. You see, at a distance the trees kind of look the same until harsh conditions arise; until everything is laid bare. Then the tree reveals its true colors. So it is with the Christian, when harsh conditions arise, when everything is laid bare, the true colors of the Christian are revealed; but so are the true colors of the non-believer as well. Dear friend, take your "church face" off and put on Christ!
