The Association of Concerned Guyanese USA (ACGUSA) was formed as a support group of Dr. Jagan Peoples Progressive Party. It was this original group that led the struggle for political awareness in United State that was the major fundraiser for the PPP and lobbied among Guyanese and Americans for their support in the restoration of democracy in Guyana with the support of the Carter Center. Many other groups sprung up thereafter, especially ACGNY that is a group that was set up by Jagdeo and Ramotar for political convenience without any genuine ties to the Guyanese and Caribbean community in the United States. Today, ACGUSA has no formal relationship with the People’s Progressive Party; however, our group is in communiqué with individual members of the PPP in different parts of Guyana. PPP leaders always say that Burnham run Guyana down to the ground making it poorer than Haiti, but PPP leaders should be thankful for Burnham because in a short time, Bharrat Jagdeo, Brassington, and the PPP corrupt elites have become millionaires living the rich mans life all on the backs of the defenseless poor. If you look at the lifestyles of these Fat Cats do you think they really care for the poor man? Don’t be fool by these authoritative and corrupt PPP leaders who would want to persuade you to think that they are carrying out the objectives of the late Dr. Cheddi Jagan. You could even judge these PPP by the friends that they keep and for Jagdeo that is very evident from the Guyanese Richmond Hill crooked elites of professionals and businessmen that take advantage on the insecurities and weaknesses of the Guyanese migrants.
