The Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) has written to the University Grants Commission (UGC) seeking status quo on the operations of Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) courses, until the Supreme Court pronounces its verdict on the autonomy of the courses. The move came after the management schools expressed dissapointment over the technical education guidelines draft designed by the UGC for MBA courses. After the Federation of Associations of Managements of Unaided Professional Educational Institutions in India (FAMPEI) and Education Promotion Society of India (EPSI), AIMS has objected to the recent UGC draft guidelines, pointing at the rush in which it was created.
