The Atlanta Police Department is pleased to announce an arrest in the May 7 murder of Mr. Jerrick Jackson at 2431 Lowe Street in northwest Atlanta. Mr. Jackson had just returned to his home on Lowe Street with his wife when they were robbed by several black males at gunpoint upon exiting their car. Mr. Jackson, 46, was fatally shot when the robbers attempted to force him and his wife into their home. Today, APD arrested Alejandro “Big Poppa” Pitts, B/M, DOB 10/19/95, of Atlanta, on charges of murder and armed robbery. He will be transported to the Fulton County Jail. More arrests are forthcoming as the investigation continues.
