The Atlanta Police Department is pleased to partner with Nextdoor, the private social network for neighborhoods, to provide important safety information and tips to Atlanta citizens. With Nextdoor, Atlanta residents can create private neighborhood websites to share information about community events and activities, local services, and even lost pets. Crime Prevention Inspectors from each of our 6 zones will post regular updates on the Nextdoor site. APD’s Public Affairs Unit will also use Nextdoor to update the community about events and programs. Please note that the Atlanta Police Department will only have access to the Department’s posts and can only view responses to the information posted by the Department. Communicating with the Department is completely voluntary and welcomed. Nextdoor is free for residents and the APD. Building trust with the community is important to the mission of the Atlanta Police Department and we look forward to connecting with Atlanta residents on Nextdoor.
