The August 1 deadline to apply for the 2013 Mississippi Research Trip is fast approaching! On September 16, SPOHP is embarking on its sixth annual trip to the Mississippi Delta on behalf of the Mississippi Freedom Project. SPOHP will conduct interviews with veterans of the civil rights movement and learn from community organizers working in the Delta. This is a perspective-altering trip for many students each year, and generates numerous successful research projects such as undergraduate theses and service learning projects.
