Brief Bios of Our New Faculty--- MARISA SIKES specializes in western European literature of the Middle Ages, with an emphasis on Middle English literature and conduct literature written for women. She has taught a wide array of courses including world literature, early and medieval British literature, Shakespeare, and a variety of medieval courses, including Chaucer and Medieval Tales of Wonder. She earned her PhD from the University of New Mexico in 2012 and delivered a paper at the Rocky Mountain Medieval and Renaissance Association conference in Denver this June. Her other activities this summer will include trying to convince her husband to trim his shaggy beard before relocating to Tennessee and making sure her chubby cat isn’t crushed to death by all the boxes of books she is going to have to move.
