The Australian Air League is a uniformed youth organisation for boys and girls from 8 to 18 years which encourages an interest in aviation as a career or as a hobby for the youth of Australia. It strives to promote good citizenship, leadership and teamwork - developing the skills and knowledge of its members. Cadets attend Squadron parade nights once a week, where they take part in a variety of activities including ceremonial drill, aviation theory (including navigation meteorology and aircraft construction), physical training, aircraft modelling and field craft. Bundaberg Squadron weekly Parade nights are held on Friday evenings during public school terms between 6.45pm and 8.45 pm at Lot 2 kendalls Rd ( agro trend grounds). Amongst the many exciting opportunities for the Squadron, the Australian Air League Queensland Group holds an annual review where all squadrons in Queensland compete in ceremonial drill and other activities. A Federal Review, a competitive gathering of Squadrons from across Australia is held biannually. The Queensland Group also conduct its annual Gliding Camp in Gympie where all cadets have the opportunity to experience flight.
