The Australian Punjabi community is heartbroken after hearing the sad news of 21 year old Rehmat Sandhu’s tragic death. Rehmat visited SBS Punjabis Melbourne Studio a few times in regards to FOBs various dance activities including the annual Bhangra competition that is held under the name of ‘Bhangra Down Under’. A 21-year-old man has plunged to his death from a Southbank apartment building overnight. Rehmat Sandhu died after falling from the glass balcony of 26th floor of the City Road tower just before 4am on Saturday morning. He plummeted 20 storeys to his death on the sixth floor patio of the 36-storey apartment building. Fairfax Media believe Mr Sandhu was socialising in a friends Southbank apartment when the accident occurred. On Saturday morning, grieving friends of the man were visibly shaken as they gathered at the City Towers to comfort each other. The young Melton man was a member of a Punjab dance group based in Melbourne called Federation of Bhangra, ran his own business and promoted Bollywood club nights.
