The Avondale Bridge which started repairs 14 January 2013 - TopicsExpress

The Avondale Bridge which started repairs 14 January 2013 originally for 8 months work needs another four weeks further work. According to SCIRT, the recent rain is the cause for delay and they need a fine period of weather for sealing the road. Repairing the 50-year-old bridge has posed some challenges. The biggest was constructing a temporary enclosure, known as a cofferdam, to make the work area under the bridge watertight.
