The BEST WWII coat ever, with CC41 label!!!!! This beautiful acqua tweed coat was made in 1943 for a lady named Lettice Barnes when she found herself, very unexpectedly, 7 months pregnant at the age of 40! She was born in 1903 and died in 1996, and I acquired this coat from her daughter, Rita, who was the bump that the coat kept warm :) The coat has huge military-esque shoulders, very padded, and it is BIG as it is a maternity coat. It will fit a variety of sizes due to its swingy cut but I havent modelled it on myself in the photos because, at 5 4 and a size 6 UK, it absolutely swamps me. Here are the measurements: Shoulders 18.5 due to fab shoulder pads Bust 46 Waist 52 Length 46 Sleeve length 25 The coat has the most beautiful pleats at the back which fall from the shoulder blades creating a gorgeous swingy silhouette. My photos dont do it justice at all. It is in perfect condition apart from some staining at the underarms on the lining, which isnt visible from the outside. Priced at £100 plus postage (I ship worldwide from the UK) for OLL members. It will go on Etsy / eBay for more if it doesnt sell here. Postage will be quite expensive due to the weight; I will get exact prices if theres any interest. Exchange rates available at xe ;)
