The BJP has levelled certain baseless and defamatory allegations about lack of transparency in funds collection by the Aam Aadmi Party. The BJP has also alleged that the AAP has not disclosed the names of donors. The AAP challenges the BJP to prove its motivated and uninformed allegations. The AAP is the only political party in India whose entire donations are in public domain and every penny collected is reflected on the party website. Any individual or organisation, including the BJP are welcome to check all details about the donations and donors of AAP. Its ironical that a party which has three-fourth of its donations from hidden sources is levelling absurd allegations on the AAP, which has introduced the concept of transparent political funding in the country. The AAP is ready for a probe by any agency on its funding, which has already been probed by the previous UPA government’s home ministry. The AAP challenges the BJP to answer the following questions on its funding : 1) Is it not a fact that on March 29 this year, the Delhi High Court found BJP guilty of receiving foreign funds in violation of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act ? 2) Is it not a fact that BJP has accepted donations of Rs 1.18 crore from the owner of Goa based Timblo Pvt Ltd, Ms Radha Timblo, who was recently named by the central government in its list of black money account holders abroad ? 3) Is it not a fact that BJP accepted donations from Dow Chemicals, the company which has refused to pay compensation to the families of Bhopal gas tragedy victims ? 4) Is it not a fact that BJP has received Rs 19,42,50,000 as foreign funds between 2004 and 2012 ? 5) Can BJP deny that 75% of its donations come from unknown sources ?
