The BMIS collective has been asked to pass on requests for direct on-land support from Dineh (Navajo) families on Black Mesa who are experiencing the continued threat of livestock impoundments and harassment. Law Enforcement officers have said that August 28th is the last day for families to comply with herd reduction rules, and that these families will be forced to comply with impoundments during the following days and weeks. Families are issuing an urgent requesting for supporters to come and bear witness, take pictures/video, and help with sheepherding during this critical time. Supporters presence can often help prevent harassment and impoundments. Your support is appreciated greatly by families. BMIS can help orient you for your stay on the land and can connect you with families who are targeted for impoundments. ***Please pass this request on to others!! ***
