Issued at 1:33 pm Friday, 23 January 2015. Synoptic Situation: Thunderstorms and areas of heavy rain, which may lead to flash flooding, are expected to continue in the warning area this afternoon. Currently, the heaviest rain is occurring about the Sunshine Coast and hinterland, with recent hourly falls peaking around 60mm west of Maroochydore.
