The BPUs Residential Recycling Credit Program (RCCP) begins soon. The new radio frequency identification bins will be delivered to residential solid waste customers beginning in mid-February to March. You can begin using the new bin right away. Beginning in May, the new rate for recycling and garbage will be introduced. The monthly rate will be $10 for those who recycle using their new bins and $20 for customers who do not recycle. If you recycle once during your billing period (about once in four weeks), your charge, after the recycling credit, will be $10 a billing period starting in May.
