The Babylonians Practiced--to their Demise--the Idolatrous Worship to the Queen of Heaven and Provoked The Lord to Anger by Bowing Down and Praying to a Statute of a Woman they Mistakenly thought was from God. HERE IS WHAT THE WORD OF GOD SAYS ABOUT WORSHIP TO ANYONE--EXCEPT THE CREATOR. “You must not make for yourself an idol of any kind or an image of anything in the heavens or on the earth or in the sea. You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God. (Exodus 20:4-5) The children gather wood, the fathers kindle fire, and the women knead dough, to make cakes for the queen of heaven. And they pour out drink offerings to other gods, to provoke me to anger. (Jeremiah 7:18) But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.” (Daniel 3:18) I hate those who worship worthless idols. I trust in the LORD. (Psalm 31:6) Is not this the carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary, and His brothers, James and Joseph and Simon and Judas? And His sisters, are they not all with us? Where then did this man get all these things?” (Mathew 13:55-56) But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. (John 4:23) You know that when you were still pagans, you were led astray and swept along in worshiping speechless idols (1 Corinthians 12:2)
