The Baga Massacre and Why Jonathan Must Go In sane climes, - TopicsExpress

The Baga Massacre and Why Jonathan Must Go In sane climes, people speak out against abhorrent crimes. Governments rise to the challenge of extreme ideologies and security challenges. We saw our brothers in Kenya. Uhuru Kenyatta told the world We dont negotiate with terrorists. That is Kenya, our small neighbor. Cameroon, a sister nation is dealing decisive blows to Boko Haram. We dont hear of any negotiation or failure of leadership to respond terror. Now, this is were i am going. Je suis Charlie...showed the world that the French will not be cowed at all. Three million people marched in Paris. With the news break of that dastard act, Francois Hollande was on ground to coordinate and direct efforts to apprehend the murderers. In Nigeria, the fisherman from Otuoke sent his condolences to France. Now, dont get me wrong, the French are our allies..Holland and Christine Legarde are good friends of NOI(Ngozi Iweala and GEJ). Its good to identify and support friends when they are going through difficult challenges. However, my serf from the creeks never for once in any campaign stump mention 2000 Nigerians massacred in Baga, Borno State. Not a national address not a stern warning or condemnation from the advantageous pulpit he has as C-In-C OF THE armed Forces. What was important was his daughters wedding and his reelection. No emotional intelligence, no empathy for those citizens of his dead, internally displaced and refugees in Chad and God knows where. Failure of leadership.Abdication of responsibility Absence of sense of duty. This is Nigeria. The same Nigeria that rose up to challenge the world regarding apartheid in South Africa. The same Nigeria that made sure Rhodesia( Zimbabwe) got her independence. The same Nigeria that sent troops to liberate Liberia and Sierra Leone..the same Nigeria of the first ever black Nobel Laureate!! The peasant from Otuoke must go. He is clearly out of his league and depth with the issues concerning Nigeria. The same guy that went dancing on stage in Kano after a bomb blast, gyrating and grinding a woman on stage. The same person that has not visited Chibok. Please, he must go. He must be retired to his people. Let him let more qualified people do the work of salvaging what he has almost destroyed. —Dr Kinzu
