Director of Development Position Summary: The Director of Development will create and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy for the organization. Primary Responsibilities: Oversee Development Department Develop and implement BNT’s fundraising strategy, researching potential donors and foundations to identify and evaluate funding sources. This will include creation and implementation of prospect management and solicitation strategies for to support BNT’s short and long-range goals Build and maintain profitable, long-term fundraising relationships with current and potential donors. Oversee prospect visits ensuring adequate planning, follow-up actions and reports are completed through a prospect and proposal management system. Serves as liaison to BNT Fundraising Board and other relevant committees Oversee all BNT fundraising events Management of BNT membership division overseeing strategies to meet membership goals Qualification and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Public Relations, Business Administration or any related field Good communication and presentation skills Minimum of 4-5 years’ experience Exceptional initiative, vision and ambition Ability to multi task and prioritize To apply: Submit cover letter, resume and three references to the Bahamas National Trust, Attn: Human Resources [email protected] by July 26th, 2013. 2.Director of Finance Primary responsibilities Oversee the Development and implementation of annual budget Oversee BNT’s internal control, accounting and reporting policies and procedures. Liaison with the Human Resource Department on payroll. Prepare relevant financial reports to the Finance Committee, Executive Committee and BNT Council. Manage all BNT’s bank accounts, account receivables and payables and general ledgers. Control and monitor all projects and grant funds to ensure compliance with grant conditions Ensure the timely completion and filings with the local and overseas authorities. Coordinate and prepare pertinent information for external audits.
