The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is planning to hold rallies at Laldighi Maidan in Chittagong on Friday, 25 October. They have declared that they will also stage rallies at Naya Palton, Dhaka. If the police do not grant permission and the rallies are staged, clashes could be triggered between BNP activists and law enforcement agencies. The Awami League also plan to hold a rally at Bangabandhu Avenue in Dhaka on 25 October.
