The Barnes County Historical Society Lecture Series Season 16 - TopicsExpress

The Barnes County Historical Society Lecture Series Season 16 Presents: Wes Anderson “A 16 Millimeter Film Fest” 7PM Thursday January 16, at the Barnes County Museum. For lack of a different presenter for the January segment of Season 16, Barnes County Museum Curator, Wes Anderson, has drawn the short straw to present something he’s been thinking of doing for a few years now. The museum has amassed a small collection of mid to late 20th century 16 millimeter educational movies covering a varying range of topics from National and International Politics to Science, Cold War, Vietnam, environmental issues and health. We will be firing up the old 16mm projector and, for those who remember Mr. Weiss’ class at the Valley City High School, reliving the days of about 40 years ago (give or take) when the world was a different place seen flickering on the screen at the front of the classroom. This presentation is brought to you by Fidelity Savings and Loan of Valley City! Wes Anderson has been the curator for the Barnes County Museum since 1997 and this is his sixth or seventh presentation for the series….he’s lost count…It might be EIGHT. A graduate of Valley City State University, he is also the director of the Valley City State University Planetarium. The public is cordially invited All Lectures are at the Barnes County Historical Society Museum and held in conjunction with Valley City State University. They are free and open to the public. For more information contact Wes Anderson at 701-845-0966 Barnes County Historical Society 315 Central Ave N Valley City, ND 58072 ###
