The Barr Memorial Library will host Author Angela Ricketts on November 6 at 6 p.m. as part of its Authors at Your Library series. Ricketts will discuss and sign her book “No Man’s War: Irreverent Confessions of an Army Wife.” In “No Man’s War, Ricketts pulls back the curtain on the part of the war machine that stays behind: Military Families. Ricketts digs deep into the personalities and posturing that officers’ wives must survive daily, whether navigating a social event on post, suffering through a husband’s prolonged deployment, or reacting to a close friend’s death in combat. Ricketts’s account is filled with humor, candor and a brazen attitude about life in today’s Military. A limited number of complimentary copies of “No Man’s War” will be available to Spouses displaying their ID card. Books will be available for purchase at the event.
