The Beaufort County Traditional Music Association kicks off 2015 with the second annual “January Guitar Jam” on Saturday night, January 3, 2015. This Country-to-Casual musical evening highlights an All-Star line-up of 18 musicians and vocalists. Performers from three counties (Beaufort, Pitt and Greene) will gather at the Union Alley Coffeehouse to sing and play and celebrate another year of the BCTMA. The night will showcase eight different acts that feature some of the most talented and popular guitar players and vocalists in Eastern Carolina. The current line-up includes guitarists John Benson, John Bradley, Steve Creech, Pat Mahoney, J.B. Mayes, Mark Rutledge, Mark Sclafani, Jeff Shirley, Don Skinner, Jesse Skinner, and Bill Walker; who will accompany vocalists Lyle Carlson, Pamela Cox, Carolyn Greene-Myers, Tina Sclafani, and Judy Skinner, plus percussionist Robert McGaughy and Jay Costello on bass. At the end of the evening the performers will join together for a special group jam. Last year’s inaugural event was one of the most attended events at the UAC. This year’s line-up is sure to attract a large audience also. Space is limited. The event is free / donation to BCTMA. Performances begin at 7:00 PM. Seating is open at 6:00PM thru the front entrance of the venue.
