The Best of 2014 in Taiwanese Indie Music... ...is the topic of this weeks Live Wire column. If anyone wants to send info on your band, your gig, or anything else worth covering, just send me a message. I write once every other week, so I cant cover everything, and generally we try to spread the info around, so we try not to write about bands more than once or twice a year, but input is always welcome. As a freelancer, the pay is also not much, and sometimes it feels like Im doing this as a public service. But its a service Im happy to provide. So thanks also to you guys who read the column, as well as all the bands, venues, promoters and other music scene friends and folks who sent in photos, met me for interviews, passed on information and did the other things that helped get the info together. Id also like to give a quick thanks to the Features editors and staff at the Taipei Times for continuing to host this info in the newspaper, and also to the columns other author Joe Henley, for being such a chill dude for metalhead ~ I enjoy his writing and divvying up the the coverage has met with a minimum of friction.
