The ‘Beti’ initiative was started by us in the year 2011 to “Save & Educate the Girl Child”. The ‘Beti’ initiative of Jago Mumbai strives to empower with knowledge and awareness by educating the Girl child. All the girls supported by us are from very poor economic backgrounds, mostly sustained by a single parent (in most cases the mother) and are first generation learners. Starting with 10 children in 2011, we have 51 girls under Beti in this academic year.
