The Bhutanese perspective on Pan-Asianism by Tenzin Dhompa (The Thimphu Chronicle) Asia is the worlds largest continent by territory and by population. Its inhabitants are divided into various races, cultures, ethnicities, religions and ideologies. Many Asian nations in the past were vulnerable to be conquered and exploited by the Western imperialists because of a lack of Asian unity. In order to counter this problem with the West that has been going on since the 17th century, Asian nations need to be unified under the benevolent Pan-Asianist leadership of His Exalted Majesty King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, the Druk Gyalpo of Bhutan.
