The Biaggnes are moving west. Man, that just feels weird to say...or type. But its true. After 17 years of doing this whole midwest tour we have come to a big fat decision to move to Seattle, where I will be working at Amazon as a Creative Director. Its surreal. Its scary. Its exciting. Its freaking fantastic. Still, it was a really tough decision to make. If you know me/us at all, you know my family lives out in that area, and that Ive been longing to go home for quite a while. But despite a few opportunities it just never felt right. Losing my grandma last year was a big shock to the system, and it ultimately pushed us to three realities: One, family is a good thing, and wed really like to be near family again. Two, we want to give our kids a life filled with all the stuff we enjoy (skiing, backpacking, sea kayaking, rainforest hikes, whale spotting, clamming, grandparents, family cabin, horses, snowmobiles, jet boating, salmon fishing etc. etc. etc.) And three, Ive wanted to live in the Pacific Northwest since I was nine. If youre a part of our Saint Louis clan, you know our noses are already filled with snot from crying. Well be back for visits and you KNOW youre welcome on our couch anytime. Heck, we may even have a spare bedroom for you. Including leaving our friends, this decision was really tough because both Kathee and I LOVE where we work. We feel like the luckiest people in the world to have been given the time weve had to work at both Bruton Stroube and CTA. We thank them for their overwhelming support with our decision. We have never felt so much love and WAY TO GO like this and, while its hard to say goodbye, the support from them has been unbelievable. I start work on February 9th. Kathee and the boys will stay here to finish school and sell the house. So, if there are any flames coming from a house along route 109 that has a huge tortoise in the backyard, do me a favor and check in on them. Ok, thats enough novel writing for now. Lifes about to throw us another adventure but this time with sea lions, and we wouldnt have it any other way.
