The Bible declares in Luke 10:19 (AMP) “Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you. God has given us power and authority over all the power of the enemy, i.e., the devil. My question is, what power does the devil possess? The devil has the ability to affect your mental state of mind. The most powerful weapon of the devil is suggestion. Revelation 12:10 says Satan is the accuser of brethren. He pummels away at your thinking day and night. If your mind is not lined up with God’s Word, you’ll begin to give attention to the devil’s lying suggestions. His ultimate objective is to stop you from receiving the finished works of Jesus Christ. Take healing for example; healing is a part of the finished works of Christ. So when you hear a suggestion from the devil that says you can’t be healed, you need to cast that thought down. Healing has already been done! Jesus didn’t provide healing the day you got sick; Jesus already had healing in place before you got sick. You have to realize who you are in Christ, and what you already have a right to, so you’ll know how to fight. You have to reach out and take possession of what you already have. You must acknowledge the truth, the actual reality of the finished works of Jesus Christ. CD
