The Bible says in...Rom 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. This message I give you this morning is not an excuse to sin or do as you please, but instead a reminder of our human nature and the Grace of Almighty God! I will use myself as an example and hope it helps others? I am a transparent Pastor and find that by me being real and upfront with my own struggles helps some and at times is frowned upon...I pray this helps each that reads! I find in my own life I can relate to Paul as he wrote this scripture above! I find myself many times falling so short of my own expectations, perfection and what I feel God desires of me! I find a war going on inside between the Spirit and my flesh and must say...the flesh at times breaks through and shows itself! I have found over the years that we all can polish ourselves up...look good, and seem to be Super Elite Christians! But the cold hard truth is we all fight this same battle within....We want to be and do good but we find and enemy called our FLESH that wages against the good we would like to do! I could spend days pointing out my faults and years of seeing others faults without pausing other to catch my breath! The Truth is we all fall short and we are all frail while locked in this flesh we have! You see, it is in those vulnerable messed up moments when we disgust ourselves with our own flesh that a very calm but piercing voice is spoken to the spirit man inside of us...It penetrates the polished outer shell that we all put on for each other to see and goes right to the core of who we really are and proclaims something that seems to good to be true...to amazing to understand and leaves us dazed with humility and reverence! The voice proclaims GRACE! Grace says I FORGIVE you anyway....Grace says I LOVE YOU even when you are Unlovable! I find today in this so called saved, sanctified, Holy Ghost filled preacher that the only real good thing to speak of is not my works, my triumphs, victories, faults, or even failures! I have nothing worth presenting to people as a prize or trophy for the life I have lived! The one good thing I find to say and proclaim that echoes my story and life more than anything else I could ever write or say is quite simply Gods Grace .........Pastor Jason
