The Bible speaks about hope against hope - a Hope that despises - TopicsExpress

The Bible speaks about hope against hope - a Hope that despises shame, pain, disgrace and death!Surely there is an end to all hope. Certain events of life have a way shutting down all doors of possibility. Consider these realities of life. First, death is the ultimate end of all leaving. Death is a certainty that seals separation of the living. Yet, resurrection has become an equal reality. Christ rose from the death on the third day, thus becoming the firstborm from the dead. All believers will rise just like Him. Second, natural misfortunes also seem to close doors of possible. Defects that you were born with may appear to seal your fate at the valleys of life. However, the Bible and experience confirm that a birth defect is not an obstruction to divine wisdom and power. Our educated world speaks about the power of the human spirit to raise the body and mind above human defects. There is hope for you who was not born like everybody else. The image of your parents cannot suppress the image of God in you! Third, accidental and developmental crises have a way of shutting all doors of possibility. Anyone who is standing or walking faces the dailing risk of tripping and falling to the ground. A fall down, no matter how severe, is never final. Things have a way into your life as well as a way out of your life. Whatever has a begining also has an end. Whatever goes up must come down. However, the end of things and the end of other people does not have to spell your end! The end of one thing is actually the beginning of another! With all your losing, dont lose your hope. Hope says with God possibilities are unlimited. Finally, when things that resemble hope fade and die, hold on to hope. Continue to hope in God after all the reasons and tokens of hope are gone. Dont hold on to anything with your life. In holding others be gentle, so that when their time in your space expires, you dont expire with them. Hope is the engine of resurrection, revival and survival. Continue to hope in God even after the reasons to hope have evaporated! Hope does not disappoint and we are saved by hope! Shalom!
