The Bible speaks of two types of inventions, 1) good witty ones and 2) blasphemously evil ones. I deal as a patent agent with some good inventions, and help my clients patent and commercialize them. I also deal as an unpaid exhorter against the wiles of the devil and those trying to peddle the evil inventions, the doctrines of men such as Augustine and Calvin, on sites such as these. What say ye, are the five points of the horns of Calvinism supported by scripture, or inventions of men? If of scripture, provide them in context if you can. Good inventions: Proverbs 8:12 I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions. Evil inventions: Psalms 99:8 Thou answeredst them, O LORD our God: thou wast a God that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their inventions. Psalms 106:29 Thus they provoked him to anger with their inventions: and the plague brake in upon them. Psalms 106:39 Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions. Ecclesiastes 7:29 Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions.
